ARTivism: Where Art, Expression, and Community Meet
An evening of creativity, reflection, and connection hosted by the ChiWellness Spiritual Wellness Partners.
Art has always been a powerful way for communities to express truth, process pain, and celebrate resilience.
At the recent ARTivism gathering, the ChiWellness Spiritual Wellness Partners created a space where creativity and community came together in powerful ways.
Through spoken word, artistic expression, and heartfelt conversation, the evening reminded us that wellness is not just physical — it also lives in our ability to tell our stories and connect with one another.
Watch a few moments from the evening:
Exploring the Stories That Shape Us
Participants began the day by exploring the powerful exhibits at The DuSable Black History Museum, reflecting on the history, creativity, and resilience that continue to shape our communities today.
Community, Conversation, and Connection
After the museum visit, participants gathered for brunch and conversation—sharing reflections, laughter, and ideas about how creativity and community can continue to inspire healing and change.
ARTivism is part of an ongoing series of community conversations hosted by the ChiWellness Spiritual Wellness Partners.
This week, the conversation continues with a special guest:
Antonio King
Chicago’s First Director of LGBTQ+ Affairs
Join us for an evening of dialogue exploring leadership, community wellness, and the future of LGBTQ+ advocacy in Chicago.
At the Mind, Body and Soul Health & Wellness Circle, we believe that healing happens in community.
Through conversations like these, we continue moving toward zero stigma, zero shame, and zero barriers to care.
We hope to see you Wednesday.
